The book demonstrates the understanding and knowledge of Ghanaian Radiographers about CPD. Radiographers need to develop personally and progress professionally within the profession so as to remain competent and capable of providing improved quality services to patients. They also need to be encouraged to engage in active CPD activities in order to maintain and improve the existing skills and knowledge. Although evidence showed that radiographers undertake CPD activities such as workshops, conferences, seminars and attending short courses, these activities are referred to as attendance based activities. This book has covered key CPD activities or elements of maintaining and updating professional expertise appropriate to the professional roles. Gender Role Beliefs and Marriage:Immigrant Couples in the U.S.A radiographer role extension way forward among ghanaian radiographers
The experiences of African immigrants to the United States of America are sparsely represented in the literature. Recent research has focused more on Latinos and Asian ethnic minority populations than on African immigrants. This research explored the relationship between Gender Role Beliefs and Marital Satisfaction among Ghanaian Immigrant Couples, a subgroup living in the United States who has been virtually ignored. Acculturation theory was introduced as a framework to facilitate understanding of the relationship between Gender Role Beliefs of Ghanaian Immigrant Couples and their level of Marital Satisfaction in the American culture. The author examined the variables; Gender Role Beliefs and Marital Satisfaction with a correlation predictive design using a cross-sectional survey technique of seventy-seven Ghanaian immigrant adult couples currently residing in the tri-state area of New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania in the United States. Husbands were liberal in their Gender Role Beliefs compared to wives; however, the difference was not statistically significant.

Assessing Genetic Diversity in Ghanaian Okra (Abelmoschus Spp L.) radiographer role extension way forward among ghanaian radiographers
Identification and description of the genetic variability available in germplasm collections are the basis of improved plans designed to control genetic erosion; more so, a preliminary requirement for the exploration of useful traits in Plant Breeding. Okra is characterized by diversity based on form and colour of fruits and stems, Okra has strong commercial value for poor women farmers and has vital importance as food diet among the inhabitants of the cities and villages. Notwithstanding, there is not yet any previous reported attempt by breeders at improving the vegetable in terms of developing core collections for higher yield and quality. Accessions in Ghana are still landraces with their associated challenges including poor yield, long maturity period, non-standard in shape, colour and size and pests and diseases. This work seeks to assess qualitative and quantitative variations among collections of the Ghanaian okra landraces through morphological evaluations and thus exploit such variations in breeding programmes to develop improved, high-yielding varieties.

Are Radiographers Developing Thyroid Nodules? radiographer role extension way forward among ghanaian radiographers
Exposure to ionizing radiation through medical testing is generally safe, but there are risks that radiographers need to be aware of. The thyroid gland is a potential target organ for radiation-related damage, as it receives a considerable radiation dose from scattered radiation. There is a general consensus in the fact that there is a high prevalence of thyroid cancer and thyroid nodule formation in workers who were occupationally exposed to radiation as radiographers. This book sheds lights on the predictable effects of long term, low radiation dose exposure to the thyroid. The statistical findings should be especially useful to radiology staff as well as student radiographers undergoing training in radiology departments.
